JOB TITLE: Content Operations Assistant — Substack Intelligence Publication OVERVIEW -------- ScaleSignals is a paid intelligence platform for founders and investors built by an active GP with four founder exits and 13,000 Substack subscribers. We are preparing for a major paid tier launch in June 2026 and need a sharp, reliable content operations assistant to help manage production, scheduling, and research tasks. This is not a writing role. You will not be generating content. You will be the production engine behind a fast-moving publication — handling scheduling, formatting, image production, research support, and asset management so the GP can focus on writing and deal flow. Hours: 8 to 10 hours per week Rate: £200 to £350 per month depending on experience Working style: Async, remote, deadline-driven. You will receive clear briefs and weekly priorities. Responsiveness within 24 hours on weekdays is required. WHAT YOU WILL DO ---------------- Substack Production - Schedule Notes, Briefings, and Deep Signal papers using approved copy - Format posts correctly — headers, pull quotes, paywall placement, CTA positioning - Upload cover images and chart assets to correct specifications - Maintain the publication calendar and flag scheduling conflicts Image and Asset Production - Produce image cards from approved templates in Canva — formatted to locked brand standards - Resize and export charts to correct dimensions and DPI - Apply brand mark and GP Commentary strip to chart assets - Produce Cambridge Capital Research paper covers to locked visual identity Research Support - Build and maintain the Frontier Investor Database in Airtable or Notion — adding entries, updating deployment status, and verifying contact information monthly - Monitor named publications and flag relevant deals, data points, and market movements for GP review - Compile weekly deal flow summaries from public sources into a structured briefing format Community and Operations - Monitor Substack comments and flag items requiring GP response - Track Note engagement numbers and compile weekly performance report — format, engagement, restack count - Manage recommendation outreach follow-up tracking WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR ----------------------- Essential: - Demonstrated experience with Substack — you understand how the platform works including Notes, paywalls, sections, and scheduling - Canva proficiency — you can work from a locked template and produce clean, on-brand assets without supervision - Airtable or Notion experience — you can build and maintain a structured database - Extreme reliability — you meet deadlines without being chased - Good written English — you will not be writing content but you will be formatting and proofreading copy before it goes live Strongly Preferred: - Experience supporting a newsletter, publication, or content creator in a production role - Familiarity with venture capital, private equity, or startup ecosystem terminology - Experience with basic data research — finding and verifying investor information from public sources Not Required: - Writing ability - Financial analysis skills - Any specific geography or market knowledge WHAT WORKING WITH US LOOKS LIKE -------------------------------- You will receive a weekly priorities message every Monday morning. Each task has a clear brief, a deadline, and a format specification. You will not be expected to make creative decisions — the frameworks and templates are locked. Your job is precise, reliable execution. The publication is growing fast. A content operations assistant who performs well in this role has a clear path to increased hours and responsibility as the paid subscriber base scales toward and beyond June launch. TO APPLY -------- Please include in your proposal: 1. One example of a Substack publication or newsletter you have supported in a production role — what you did and what the outcome was 2. A brief description of your Canva experience — what types of assets you have produced 3. Your availability in hours per week and your rate Applications without a specific Substack or newsletter production example will not be considered.

Hi there, I am a detail-oriented Virtual Assistant and Digital Product Creator with a strong background in data entry and visual branding. I have been researching Substack’s ecosystem (Notes, paywalls, and scheduling) to understand the platform’s workflow, and I am confident that my technical skills make me a reliable fit for ScaleSignals. Why I am a strong candidate: 1. Production & Workflow: While I haven’t managed a live Substack yet, I am a very quick learner who is highly familiar with CMS environments. My experience managing a digital shop on Etsy has trained me to handle asset uploads, formatting, and scheduling under deadlines with high precision. 2. Canva & Branding: As a digital creator, I build cohesive branding daily. I am highly proficient in Canva and can strictly follow your locked brand standards to produce clean, professional charts and image cards as required. 3. Data & Operations: I have extensive experience in data entry and maintaining structured databases. I use Notion for project tracking and am skilled in OCR processing. I can ensure your Frontier Investor Database in Airtable remains accurate and verified. 4. Reliability: I thrive in async, remote environments and guarantee 24-hour responsiveness. I am available for 10 hours/week at a rate of £250 per month. I am ready to provide the reliable production support you need for your June launch. Best regards, Lia

Hey, This role aligns perfectly with how I work—structured, detail-focused, and execution-driven. I understand that your priority is not content creation but ensuring every piece of content is published flawlessly, on time, and aligned with strict formatting and brand standards. As an example, I previously supported a Substack-style newsletter for a startup-focused publication where I handled post scheduling, formatting (headers, sections, CTAs), and asset uploads. I maintained the publishing calendar, ensured consistency across posts, and reduced publishing errors significantly, allowing the founder to focus purely on writing and strategy. The result was a smoother workflow and improved consistency in output. I’m highly comfortable working within Canva using locked templates—producing clean image cards, resizing charts, and exporting assets to exact specifications without deviation. I’ve also managed structured databases in Notion, keeping records updated, organized, and reliable for ongoing use. I’m available 8–10 hours per week, responsive within 24 hours, and fully aligned with async, deadline-driven work. You won’t need to follow up—tasks will be handled accurately and on schedule. This will not require oversight—I’ll operate as a dependable production engine behind your publication. regards, Mudassar

Hi there, You're building a fast-moving Substack publication with a strong production engine requirement. I’d approach this as a lightweight production-ops system: maintain the publication calendar, run structured formatting for Notes and Deep Signals, and automate asset workflows using Canva templates and locked brand assets, while keeping Airtable/Notion as the single source of truth for contact data and deal flow. You’ll get precise, deadline-driven execution so the GP can focus on writing and deal flow. I’d structure it like this: - Backend/process: set up a small, auditable workflow using Airtable/Notion for tasks, status, and reminders; integrate a simple check-list to validate formatting (headers, pull quotes, CTA positions) before publish. - Data/asset flow: templates for image cards in Canva, automated export with the correct DPI and dimensions, and a routine that stamps the GP commentary strip onto charts. Implementation would focus on: - Backend logic / APIs: lightweight task queue and publish checklist, auto-scheduling with calendar APIs for notes/briefings. - Data flow or validation: validation rules for asset specs and brand guidelines, sync between Airtable/Notion and the Substack workflow.\n- System/workflow handling: weekly briefs, queue management, and alerting for scheduling conflicts. Can go deeper on this if useful. , Best regards,
