Take Over an Existing Online Card/Mahjong Game Client and Deliver Android APK/AAB We need an experienced game team to take over an existing online card/mahjong game client, restore its development and build environment, complete Android adaptation, and deliver reproducible APK and AAB release builds. This is an existing casual game using an existing backend protocol. It does NOT include real-money gambling, wagering, cash-out, or financial settlement. Source code, technical documents, test accounts, and private endpoints will be shared with the selected team after confidentiality terms are agreed. SCOPE 1. Audit source code, resources, plugins, native libraries, build scripts, branches, submodules, and missing dependencies. 2. Document the game engine, JDK, Gradle, Android Gradle Plugin, Android SDK/NDK, Node.js, and package manager versions. 3. Restore the project on a clean machine without hidden dependencies on the previous developer's computer. 4. Fix compilation errors, Gradle conflicts, missing resources, native plugin compatibility, and packaging issues. 5. Configure application ID, versions, environments, permissions, network security, Android 12+ exported components, deep links, safe areas, fullscreen, audio focus, and lifecycle handling. 6. Support arm64-v8a and advise whether legacy armeabi-v7a support is needed. 7. Validate startup, login, resource update, lobby, room creation/joining or matchmaking, gameplay, settlement, next round, and return to lobby. 8. Test Wi-Fi/mobile switching, disconnection, background/foreground, process termination, reconnection, and game-state recovery. 9. Restore existing Android integrations such as login, payment, push, sharing, voice, analytics, or hot update only where already present. Signing keys and credentials remain under our control. 10. Deliver test APK, release-candidate APK/AAB, build scripts, environment templates, build guide, change list, test report, risk list, R8/ProGuard mapping, and native symbols. ACCEPTANCE - A clean machine can build APK and AAB using the delivered documentation. - The app installs, launches, upgrades, and reinstalls on the agreed Android device matrix. - Existing accounts complete the lobby, room, gameplay, settlement, and return flow against the current backend. - Network switching, disconnect, backgrounding, and restart follow existing reconnection rules. - No blocker/critical defect remains in startup, login, gameplay, reconnection, or settlement. - Release builds contain no test endpoints, debug menus, plaintext secrets, sensitive logs, or undeclared permissions. - All source, artifacts, mappings, symbols, and audit documents are delivered. MILESTONES 1. Source/build audit and recovery plan - 15% 2. Reproducible clean build and installable test APK - 25% 3. Android adaptation, core flow, and reconnection acceptance - 35% 4. Final APK/AAB, documentation, test report, and acceptance support - 25% REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS - Proven legacy game client takeover and Android game delivery experience. - Strong Gradle, SDK/NDK, native plugin, crash analysis, performance, hot update, and real-time networking skills. - At least two verifiable Android game or multiplayer examples. - Git delivery with reviewable commits; binary-only delivery is unacceptable. - Named technical lead and at least 14 days of post-acceptance defect support. Please answer: relevant takeover cases; assigned team and allocation; first 3-day audit plan; clean-build approach; signing/credential security; timeline, milestone price, and risks; support commitment. Fixed budget: USD 2,000-4,000. Backend rewrites, new game modes, major UI/art redesign, iOS redevelopment, store account fees, and long-term operations are out of scope unless separately quoted.

Hi — Elias here from Miami. I see you're looking to take over an existing online card game client and deliver an Android APK/AAB. The goal is to ensure a smooth transition while enhancing the game’s reliability and performance. What usually matters most here is maintaining the integrity of the existing game mechanics while integrating necessary updates. A common issue in systems like this is ensuring that the codebase is scalable and maintainable, especially when adding new features. The tricky part is usually managing dependencies and ensuring seamless gameplay across devices. My approach would involve a thorough code review to identify potential bottlenecks and risks. I’d structure the project to prioritize clean, modular code, making future enhancements straightforward. I've worked on similar game projects where I focused on stability and user engagement, ensuring a solid foundation for updates. A few questions to better understand the scope: Q1 – What are the current pain points or limitations with the existing code? Q2 – Are there specific new features or improvements you envision for this game? Q3 – How do you plan to handle user data and authentication in the new version? Happy to go through the details and suggest the best technical approach. Looking forward to hearing from you.

Hello, I'm Denis, a full-stack developer with experience restoring legacy game clients and delivering reproducible Android builds. I've handled similar takeovers involving Gradle recovery, native plugin compatibility, and multiplayer state management. Your card game has a working backend, but the build environment has degraded. This requires recovering the build pipeline, fixing Android compatibility issues, and validating gameplay end-to-end. My approach starts with a three-day audit: reviewing source structure, documenting dependencies (JDK, Gradle, SDK/NDK versions), identifying missing resources or native libraries, and mapping blockers. Then I'll restore the build on a clean machine, fix Gradle conflicts and packaging issues, and configure Android 12+ requirements like exported components and network security. Core work covers lifecycle handling, reconnection logic, and background state recovery. Finally, I'll validate login through settlement and deliver signed APK/AAB with build scripts and a test report. The main risk is undocumented dependencies or custom native plugins. I'll mitigate this by building incrementally, testing each layer, and documenting discoveries. I propose USD 3,200 with 14 days of post-acceptance support, structured as: audit and recovery plan (15%), clean reproducible build (25%), Android adaptation (35%), final delivery and support (25%). I can start immediately. Thanks, Denis.

Hi, there. "ANDROID GAME CLIENT RECOVERY" — you need the existing card game rebuilt into a clean, repeatable release process. I would begin with a build audit: map the engine, Gradle/SDK versions, plugins, native libraries, branches, and missing dependencies. The main risk in takeover projects is hidden local setup, so I would restore everything on a clean machine before fixing Android compatibility and release issues. I would verify the full player flow after recovery: login, lobby, matchmaking, gameplay, reconnection, and release build security. Deliverables would include build notes, changes, test results, and reproducible APK/AAB generation. What game engine is the client using, and do you already have a successful Android build from the previous developer or only the source repository? Looking forward to working with you.

I understand you're looking for an experienced team to seamlessly take over your existing card game client and deliver robust Android APK/AAB builds. My recent project involved porting a Unity-based casual game with a similar backend integration to Android, successfully delivering production-ready builds for multiple client versions within tight deadlines. I'm confident I can achieve the same for your Mahjong game. My approach will begin with a thorough analysis of your provided source code and documentation to fully understand the existing architecture and identify any immediate roadblocks. I'll focus on restoring the build environment, ensuring all dependencies are met and the compilation process is stable. Following that, I'll implement any necessary Android-specific adaptations, optimize for performance and device compatibility, and then proceed with rigorous testing to guarantee reproducible APK and AAB generation. Hello, Artur G from Warsaw, Poland here. Your existing online card/mahjong game client needs a clean Android takeover: restoring the build environment, fixing dependencies, completing Android adaptation, and delivering reproducible APK/AAB releases with the current backend flow. What usually decides this type of recovery is finding hidden build dependencies before changing code. I would first map the engine, Gradle, SDK/NDK, plugins and native libraries, because random fixes often create new release problems. I would restore a clean build path, then validate login, lobby, matchmaking, gameplay, reconnection and background recovery. Git commits, build documentation, test reports and release artifacts would be kept reviewable throughout. Q1 - Which game engine and Android build stack are currently used? This decides the recovery path and compatibility risks. Q2 - Are all existing Android SDK keys and third party service credentials available? This avoids release blockers later. Q3 - Which Android device versions are in your acceptance matrix? This defines the testing coverage. Happy to go through the approach in more detail. Looking forward to working with you.

Hello, The biggest risk in this project is restoring the build environment without hidden dependencies, which often breaks Gradle or native builds. I’ve taken over a legacy card game where the original developer’s machine had undocumented JDK and NDK versions, leading to weeks of debugging. I’ve successfully restored projects with complex native dependencies by documenting every version in a clean build template. I’ll start by auditing the Gradle files, native libraries, and submodules to identify conflicts, then create a Docker/VM template to ensure reproducible builds. I’d first audit the source, fix compilation errors, and deliver a test APK. Then I’ll adapt Android-specific configurations (permissions, network security, etc.) and validate core flows. Finally, I’ll deliver the signed AAB/APK with full documentation and test reports. The biggest unknown is whether the project uses custom native code or undocumented Gradle plugins. I’ll need access to the source before committing to a timeline. Let me know if this approach works for you. Thanks, Lazar.

Hi-I am Manh "EXISTING CARD GAME CLIENT TAKEOVER + ANDROID APK/AAB" , you need the existing game recovered into a clean reproducible build, then verified through the real multiplayer flow before release. I’d start by auditing the repository, branches, submodules, native libraries and build dependencies, then document the exact engine, JDK, Gradle, SDK and NDK versions needed on a clean machine. After restoring the build, I’ll trace login, lobby, room, gameplay, settlement and reconnection, including backgrounding, network switching and process restart. Release builds will be separated from test configuration, with signing credentials kept under your control and required mappings, symbols and documentation delivered. Can you provide the source repository, current build errors, engine version and latest working test account so the first audit can focus on the actual blockers? Looking forward to working with you.

Hi there, Fernando here from Mexico. I want to take over the existing Android card/mahjong client and get it to a reproducible APK/AAB release, starting with the source, branch, submodule, native library, Gradle, JDK, SDK and NDK audit. I’d first restore a clean machine build, then fix dependency/native compatibility before validating Android 12+ components, arm64-v8a, lifecycle, network switching, reconnection and the existing backend gameplay flow. I’ll keep signing credentials under your control and deliver reviewable Git changes, build scripts, mappings, symbols, documentation and test evidence. My first 3-day output would be the build audit, dependency map, recovery path and identified release risks. Bests

Hi, recovery should establish a reproducible build before changing gameplay or the existing backend protocol. My background includes C#/Unity at Memorial University and NGX Interactive, plus production troubleshooting. I work independently, available immediately for 40 hours weekly, but cannot provide two verified Android multiplayer takeover examples. The three-day audit would inventory source/dependencies, reproduce compilation failures, then document runtime gaps and recovery priorities. Toolchain versions would be pinned, with a clean-machine build proving no hidden dependencies remain. Native plugins and reconnection state are the main risks. Testing would cover your device matrix, complete gameplay flow, upgrades, network changes, and process termination. Signing stays client-controlled; secrets stay outside Git. Provisional fixed quote: $4,000 over four weeks, subject to audit. Milestones: $600 audit, $1,000 reproducible APK, $1,400 adaptation/testing, $1,000 release artifacts/documentation. Includes 14 days of post-acceptance defect support and reviewable commits. I have two questions: Q1: Which engine/version and native plugins are involved, and when did the last successful build run? Q2: Are signing credentials, submodules, and all required resource-update servers available?
