I want an Android app that lets me jot down every Forex position I take during the day and instantly shows whether I closed it in profit or loss. The flow should be as quick as opening the app, tapping “Add Trade”, entering the pair, lot size, open and close price, then saving—nothing bloated or confusing. Core behaviour • Each trade is stored with its profit-or-loss figure. • The moment a trade is saved, that P/L appears right on the trade row so I can scan the day’s list and see how I did, trade by trade. • A clean, modern Material-style UI that looks native on recent Android versions. I’m not after heavy analytics or alerting systems yet; the priority is reliable trade logging and a clear per-trade profit/loss display. Data can sit locally in Room/SQLite for now, provided the code is structured so cloud sync could be added later. Deliverables • Full Android Studio project and well-commented Kotlin (or Java) source. • Signed release APK ready to install. • Brief README explaining how to build, run, and where trade data is stored. I’ll test by entering a handful of dummy trades and confirming the profit/loss math is accurate to two decimals and the list updates instantly without crashes.

Your P/L calculation will break if you don't account for pip value differences across currency pairs—USDJPY calculates profit differently than EURUSD because of the quote currency. This will show incorrect numbers the moment you log a JPY pair. Quick questions - are you trading standard lots only, or do you need micro/mini lot support? And do you want the app to handle partial closes, or is every trade a single open-close event? Here is the architectural approach: - KOTLIN + ROOM: Single-activity MVVM pattern with LiveData observers so the trade list updates instantly when you save without manual refresh calls. - SQLITE SCHEMA: Normalized tables with foreign keys for currency pairs so pip values are pre-calculated per instrument rather than hardcoded per trade. - MATERIAL DESIGN 3: Bottom sheet for quick trade entry, RecyclerView with DiffUtil for smooth list updates, and color-coded P/L indicators (green/red) that render in under 16ms. I've built 4 fintech mobile apps that handle real-time transaction logging with sub-second UI refresh rates. Let's schedule a 15-minute call to confirm your lot size requirements before I architect the data layer.

Hello, I'm Denis, a full-stack developer experienced in building fast, reliable Android apps focused on seamless data entry. This Forex trade journal fits perfectly with my background in mobile projects prioritizing minimal friction logging. I understand your needs: a distraction-free way to log trades throughout the day and instantly see each position's P/L. The math must be accurate, the UI native and responsive, and each trade should take seconds to log. My approach is straightforward. I'll map the trade data model and Room database schema for clean, future-proof storage ready for cloud sync. Then I'll build the main screen with a simple entry form and live-updating trade list below. The P/L calculation logic will be isolated and thoroughly tested for accuracy to two decimals. I'll use Material Design components throughout for a native feel on modern Android versions. I'll plan for edge cases like invalid input or rapid entries, adding validation and ensuring database operations are solid enough to prevent crashes during busy market sessions. Once the core flow works, I'll generate a signed release APK and document the build process and data storage clearly. I can start immediately. Let's connect and discuss the details. Thanks, Denis.

Hi there I can develop an Android Forex Trade Journal that makes it easy for traders to record, organize, analyze, and review their trading activity. I have 20 years of software development experience. My approach Trade Management — Record currency pair, buy/sell direction, entry/exit prices, lot size, stop loss, take profit, profit/loss, date, time, and trade notes. Trade History — Provide searchable and filterable trade history with detailed individual trade records. Performance Analytics — Add statistics such as win rate, profit/loss, average trade, winning/losing trades, and performance by currency pair or strategy. Charts & Dashboard — Provide a clear dashboard and visual performance charts to help traders identify patterns in their results. Screenshots & Notes — Allow users to attach chart screenshots and add notes/tags to individual trades where required. Offline Storage & Backup — Store trade data reliably on the device and support backup/export or cloud synchronization if required. Quick questions 1. Should the journal work completely offline, or do you need cloud synchronization? 2. Do you need automatic trade import from a broker/API, or will trades be entered manually? 3. Which performance metrics and charts are required? 4. Should users be able to attach screenshots and trading-strategy notes? 5. Do you need CSV/PDF export or backup functionality? Thanks

Pip value shifts by pair, so JPY crosses need a different divisor than the majors, and that's where most quick P/L calculators quietly go wrong. I'll build the app in Kotlin with Room, a single Add Trade screen, and per-row P/L computed on save so the list updates instantly. Repository layer stays isolated so cloud sync drops in later. 1) Which pairs do you trade most, any JPY or metals? 2) Account currency for the P/L figure, USD? Message me and we can lock the plan down. Shayan

Hi, I’ll build a fast Android Forex trade journal that logs pair, lot size, open/close prices, and instantly shows each trade’s profit/loss in the list. The key technical focus is reliable two-decimal P/L calculation with a clean Material-style interface and local Room storage, so I’ll structure the data layer cleanly for future sync without adding unnecessary complexity. I recently built a Kotlin app with offline-first CRUD screens and Room-backed lists that update immediately after save. For your project, I’d start by defining the Trade entity and P/L calculation, then implement the add-trade form, live list row updates, and validation/testing for accurate math and crash-free entry flow. Would you like P/L shown in account currency only, or should I also include pip and pip-value fields? Best regards, NexLoom

Hello, I can build this trade journal app using Android Studio with Kotlin and Room for local storage, keeping the UI simple and fast while ensuring the profit/loss math is accurate. I built a similar app for a trader who wanted to track daily trades—it used Room to store data and displayed P/L instantly after each entry, just like you need. I’d approach this by using Room for local storage and a single-activity architecture with Material components to keep the UI clean and responsive. The biggest improvement will come from calculating P/L on the fly and showing it immediately after saving a trade. The app will be lightweight and easy to expand later if you want cloud sync. This will help you quickly review your day’s performance without any unnecessary complexity. Once the app is ready, I’ll test it with dummy trades to confirm the math and UI work as expected. If this approach works for you, I’d be happy to discuss the details further. Thanks, Lazar.

Hi, I can build this as a lightweight native Android app using Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, and Room. The workflow will stay focused: add a trade, select direction and currency pair, enter lot size and prices, save, and immediately see the two-decimal profit or loss on the daily trade list. I’ll use decimal-safe calculations, input validation, reactive database updates, and a repository architecture that can support cloud synchronization later. You’ll receive the Android Studio project, signed APK, documented source, and README. Three technical questions: 1. Must trades support both buy and sell positions? 2. Which account currency should P/L be converted into? 3. Should the calculation include contract size, pip value, commission, swap, and spread? Best regards, Houssame
