Objective:
The goal of this project is to develop a comprehensive mobile application for primary schools that optimizes the dismissal process, reducing waiting times for parents at the school gate. The application will be available for both Android and iOS platforms and will include a backend system for data management.
Key Features:
Authentication and User Management:
Implement a secure authentication system with login screens for school staff members.
Allow for user management, including the creation and management of staff accounts.
Class Management:
Enable administrators to create, edit, and delete classes within the school.
Associate each student with a specific class for efficient organization.
Student Management:
Provide administrators with the ability to add, update, and delete student information.
Capture essential details such as first name, last name, class, and current dismissal status.
Dismissal Management:
Allow administrators to mark a student as "Summoned" when a parent arrives for pickup.
Enable administrators to mark a student as "Dismissed" when the student is handed over to the parent.
Automatic Status Update:
Implement an automatic status update mechanism for student presence. For instance, after a student has been marked as "Dismissed," a timer will change their status to "Available" after 1 hour.
Dismissal Process between Two Mobile Devices:
Support collaborative dismissal management between two school staff members using mobile devices.
The requester can initiate the dismissal process by summoning a student.
The sender, responsible for the next dismissal stage, can mark students as "Dismissed" when they are ready to be handed over to parents.
Security and Data Protection:
Ensure robust security measures, including secure authentication, to safeguard sensitive data.
Comply with privacy standards to protect student information.
History and Reporting:
Maintain a historical record of each student, documenting their dismissal stages over time.
Enable the generation of detailed reports on past dismissals for administrative purposes.
User-Friendly Interface:
Design an intuitive and user-friendly interface to facilitate ease of use for school staff members.
Ensure the app's usability on both Android and iOS platforms.
Backend System:
Develop a backend system to manage data storage, access control, and API endpoints for the mobile application.
Maintenance and Scalability:
Ensure the application's capacity for future updates, addressing issues, and incorporating new features as required.
