I have a signature script to verify the file or files & the data in these files on the specific directory on the unix server. This script loads these files (one at time) into DB2 table, formats the data in the table via select statement & ftps the files (one at a time) to another server (basys) one at time. In summary, the cron job executes the script every few hours to get the files from one unix server, does the replace function to format the files & ftps the data to another server. How do I pass $filename to another script? The file name supposed to be ABNY_CHKS_2009_12_09_1_35_00 file where the date & time are run date dependant. Script pseudo-code: vi [url removed, login to view] #!/bin/ksh # script voersion: 1.0 script_to_run='[url removed, login to view]' Lit="ABNY_CHKS_" dt=`date +"%m-%d-%y"` tim=`date +"%m"` filename2=$lit$dt$tim run $filename ‘export_script' run $filename 'ftp_script' vi export_script: EXPORT TO /directory/$filename OF DEL MODIFIED BY SELECT CAST ( drafts_key AS CHAR(7)) ………) DRAFT ON Convert_AcT=ACCOUNT_NUM; vi ftp script: ftp $filename to another server
