Job Description:
This project requires the creation of a new GitHub repository that updates the existing [login to view URL] code to use the PubNub APIs for Publish and Subscribe. The repository should also include an updated Docker Compose that launches a Kafka Connect stack with a sample randomly generated stream to showcase both the Sink and Source connectors. The [login to view URL] should be updated to include config options for PubNub API keys and channel name, as well as other necessary configuration options. The [login to view URL] should include fully copy/paste ready commands to launch docker-compose up, build the Kafka connector, and add the kafka connector using the running docker container.
Using the existing [login to view URL] starting point implementation, update the Java code to implement PubNub REST API for Publish and Subscribe.
- Source Connector for Subscribe API.
- Sink Connector for Publish API.
The deliverable is a new github repository that alters the [login to view URL] to use the PubNub APIs directly. Update the [login to view URL] (included already in repo) in addition to launching the kafka connect stack, compose will also launch a sample randomly generated stream that showcases both the Sink and Source connectors.
The [login to view URL] will be updated to include config options for the PubNub API keys and a channel name to be used. Additional configuration options. While there are a lot more configuration options possible with the PubNub API, we want to keep it to just the three config options for now:
1. Publish API Key
2. Subscribe API Key
3. Channel Name
