I’m preparing a new residential build and want to lock in a solid path toward LEED Silver certification. At this stage I only need guidance for the design phase, but I’d like that guidance to be thorough enough that my architect and MEP team can carry it straight into documentation once construction begins. Here’s what I expect: • A preliminary LEED v4.1 scorecard tailored to a single-family residence, showing point targets and backup strategies. • Credit-by-credit guidance that highlights low-hanging wins, potential cost drivers, and any design tweaks required to stay on track for Silver. • Material and systems recommendations (insulation, HVAC, lighting, water fixtures, envelope details) that directly map to the relevant credits. • Advice on energy modeling requirements and which simulation inputs I should collect now to avoid redesign later. • A brief submission checklist so my team knows exactly what documentation to capture during schematic and DD milestones. We collaborate through Zoom or Teams, you review plans in PDF or Revit, and you return comments in a format my designer can integrate easily. Prior experience securing LEED Silver (or higher) on residential projects is a must—please include one or two examples when you respond.
