Registered Building Designer - Retail Interiors - Certification of Drawings for Building Permit Submission

Registered Building Designer (DB-U) sign-off – Project-Based / Casual (Victoria) We are a Melbourne-based interior design studio delivering retail interior fit-outs and other commercial interior projects across Victoria. We’re seeking a Registered Building Designer (DB-U) to join us on a project-based, casual, or part-time engagement to review, certify interior fit out drawings for building permit submission under AD registration. Long term scope may also include some small domestic and commercial projects. How the collaboration works: Our studio prepares the full drawing set (plans, finishes schedule, and consultant inputs) You review the documentation against NCC / relevant statutory provisions, including DDA, and planning requirements, and marking up any necessary adjustments. Once revisions are incorporated, you endorse the documents under your AD registration for submission to the building surveyor. As part of the permit process, you may also recommend adjustments to the documentation to address any feedback from the building surveyor.
