I have a large project requiring a talented individual (or team of individuals) to work on and deliver in short timeframes.
Before being awarded the full project, the chosen candidate will work on a smaller "test" project to demonstrate they can meet the requirements of the larger project.
If you are serious about this role, respond to this brief with "YLTROPS" in the 1st sentence of your proposal - yes, we pay strict attention to detail. . .
You will need to write a comprehensive 200-300 word travel article about a sporting event. You will be sent the name of specific sporting event we require you to research and write about. Your task is to research each of the below items.
1. Venue address
2. Event time and date(s)
3. Event schedule (share the link)
4. Common transport options to the venue (public and private transport, eg bus/train and rental car/taxi). Links to any public transport websites.
5. Links to 2-4 recent (no more than 3 years old) articles about;
(a) food & drink (trendy and popular restaurants, cafes, and bars)
(b) night life (places for people to party, unwind with a drink, or meet friends)
(c) sightseeing activities (the top half dozen sightseeing activities within the area that the event is being held within. All activities should be able to be completed within a few hours - i.e., no day trips)
nearby to the venue.
6. Share links to any good resources for this event that you have found.
Experience in the sports/travel writing sector is preferred. Must be fluent in English.
The 'test' project should take no more than 72 hours. If you are awarded the larger project, this may take 2-3 weeks.
Must be available to skype.
Thanks for your time, and good luck in your submission!

YLTROPS. Hi, I don't have any previous experience writing for sports/travel but I'm confident in my writing ability, and that I would be able to pick this up and run with it. Cheers
