I need to understand costing for someone to produce a monthly newsletter for a department in a large corporate. It would require the person to engage with various people in the team to get updates and then put those into the newsletter each month. The person would therefore need to build up an understanding of the department and take initiative in identifying key stories for inclusion in the newsletter each month. The newsletter would need to be 1 to 2 A4 pages long at most and distributed via email. A typical newsletter would include 3 or 4 updates and 3 to 4 announcements each month. Key metrics would be newsletter quality, readership within the team and feedback from the team. I would expect about 6 to 8 hours work per month to achieve a quality product. This would include attending weekly team updates sessions (45 min per week), interviews to gain detail on updates (2 hours per month), and a couple of hours to put the newsletter together.
