I'm Lucas, the founder of PianoDreamers.com.
For several years we’ve been establishing this resource in the music industry. Our goal is to become the hub of the most useful and in-depth information about digital pianos, keyboards, pianos, and piano playing in general.
Most of our articles are 2500+ words high-quality pieces of content that go into a lot of detail about the topic. For now, we mostly have digital piano reviews and buying guides, but we’d like to publish more informational and how-to articles about playing and learning piano in general.
We're planning on covering various piano online courses (Playground Sessions, PianoforAll, Piano Marvel), apps (Flowkey, Pianu, Simply Piano, etc.), printed piano curriculums (Alfred, Bastien, Suzuki, and Faber and Faber, etc.).
We'd also like to write about various aspects of learning piano and developing an effective practice routine.
We're looking to hire a writer who can contribute to our blog. The position will start with 2 blog posts per month, with much room to grow beyond this if you can deliver consistent quality work.
It's absolutely necessary that you are a piano player (preferably classically trained) and is passionate about this instrument.
It would also be an advantage if you're familiar with the world of digital pianos, since there are a lot of topics to be covered there as well (e.g digital vs acoustic, what makes a good digital piano, should I buy a new or a used one, how to choose a bench/lamp, etc.).
The writer is paid on a per-word basis. Most of the blog posts will be between 3,000 – 4,000 words per post. So please bid based on delivering 1 x 3,500-word article.
Please note that we have very high editorial standards compared to most other blogs. Every post that we publish goes through our strict editorial process where we check all claims and ideas for accuracy.
Our readers trust us, and we absolutely must ensure the highest quality content.
You'll be assigned topics by myself and given a submission deadline. It's quite likely that in the first couple of weeks there will be a lot of feedback and editing required, but generally, once a writer gets into the swing of things, that part should be minimal.
By all means, check out our latest blog posts to get a feel for the sort of quality we are looking for. Note that we only require our writers to write the content, no web formatting or design is required.
Please provide at least 3 samples of similar content you have written and/or published in your application. Also, take 5 minutes to customize your application since copy pasted applications rarely stand out :)
Thanks and good luck!
