This is Eric, and I hope to serve you by sharing my know-how accumulated from having both conducted interviews as well as having worked in numerous Fortune 500 companies across four different countries (Tesla, Kellogg, Toyota, ADNOC, etc). Mistake 1: companies select resumes using an ATS system, hence format and industry tailored buzzwords are king
Mistake 2: Recruiters are responsive in external hiring platforms outside of their company websites that are underutilized by job applicants
Mistake 3: Interviewees are expected to use STAR (Situation, Task, Activity, Result) format in responding to interview questions
