Don't know if this is even possible - we have an ASP Classic page that has dynamic data displayed from SQL database. On that same page - we have a button that when selected - brings up another ASP page through a DHTML pop-up - that page adds the item to cart system behind the scenes - and then the DHTML disappears. The issue is that the data on the main page is the number of items in the cart and the total amount of order which is now wrong because we just added an item but until the page is refreshed - the data display is not correct.
Is it possible to force a refresh of JUST the dynamically displayed data on the main page from the page that is processiing from within the DHTML window? I would assume that AJAX possibly could do this -but not sure if can get control of the main page to force the update?
If you think you think you can do this - I will provide a copy of test pages that use the same capability as what we are using for this system.
