Our company specializes in providing outsourced accounting services to small businesses in the Chicagoland area. We are currently seeking a free lancer to help us develop a web portal for our clients to access. This web portal is going to be a Business Intelligence portal written in .NET ASP and will eventually include many applications, visualizations, reports. We are looking for a website developer with GUI, look and feel, layout, graphics skills as the primary skill set. We have a rough sketch of five screenshots we would like to implement as .aspx pages if possible. Our sketches are rough so we need your creativity. Developing a logo MAY be a part of this. Initially these pages will not have any special C# code behind, rather simply be “mock-ups”. In other words, we are interested in the look and feel ONLY to start with. We need to get something to show our clients ASAP. We are looking to show a demo to our clients and mock up pages that look super sharp but don’t really have much in the code behind them (no authentication, database access, etc) is the primary goal for this initial engagement. Again, no real ASP/C# coding is necessary on your part but we’d like these pages to be delivered as .aspx pages, C# if you can so WE can come in and write the login, auth, DB access code behind you. We might consider the right developer without any aspx/C# skills IF…IF…your design skills are excellent. In that case, you would be permitted to deliver the site in straight XHTML (well formed tags) and we’d convert the pages to ASPX C# pages. We will ask that you please reference the sketches we’ll provide, our current website and our current style sheets for design inspirations and style considerations (font, colors, etc.). Our main business website will be provided upon request to allow you to get ideas for maintaining a common look and feel. Our .css files will be easy to read.
Ideal candidate is:
1) Must have: A web developer with good website experience and a portfolio that we can see for evaluation.
2). Must have: Has graphics software skills. We want this portal to be very visually appealing as it will be a Business Intelligence portal for our clients. The sizzle is what will sell this to our clients.
3). Must have: Has extensive skills creating images for super sharp navigation elements on the web page.
4). Nice to have: Understands ASPX Master pages so that the site can be developed with a common navigation pattern
