Protect a web-directory
I have a site ([url removed, login to view]) running on a CMS(Drupal). Authenticated members on [url removed, login to view] are allowed to visit [url removed, login to view] as guest. The forum is a separate website, apart from the drupal-CMS.
Forums-site is on a directory under the website’s path.
I have to protect [url removed, login to view] to make shure only authenticated users can use the forum.
I would like to have ASP (or similar thing) that can be that can be attached to /forums to check if the person asking the forumpages is authenticated by [url removed, login to view]
When the browser asks for a forum-page, check the browser-cookie to pick-up the session-id. This session-id can be looked-up in the session-table of www.mainwebsite.com. If the user is authenticated the user id (uid) will be != 0. If the user is not-authenticated the user id. Will be 0. If the user is not authenticated the www.mainwebsite.com-loginpage will be presented.
I'm open for any other way to achieve the same.
