A 8 minute (maximum time) animated movie.
The movie will illustrate the 3 main ways of making solar cells and show their disadvantages. The disadvantages will be shown visually and with simple to understand graphs. Then a new method of making the solar cell will be shown.
A vacuum chamber about 2 feet in diameter and about 4 feet long will be shown.
The ends open to show a 16inch diameter centrifuge with various openings in the ends.
The centrifuge has a heater inside which will be shown heating up (it will start to glow red hot) and it will be shown moving in and out of one end of the centrifuge while the centrifuge is spinning. A 1 armed robot will be shown putting pieces of silicon coated carbon strips into one end of the centrifuge while the vacuum chamber door is open.
The robot arm will finish loading 30 strips of carbon into the centrifuge and the vacuum chamber doors will close and a vacuum pump will start up and the vacuum will be formed. Other steps will be shown...unloading the centrifuge, loading the carbon strips into a diffusion chamber tube heater, silk screening electrical grid-work of wires onto the front surface of the cells, electrical testing of the cells in a light chamber, and final robotic placing of the individual cells onto an 3 foot by 5 foot aluminum back-plate and robotic soldering of the cells together into an array. Then a robot will pick up a piece of glass (pre-coated with a anti reflective coating) and place it over the cells after a robot squirts a bead of silicone sealant around the edges of the array. Then the finished array will be boxed for shipment.
