Naming the load-bearing analysis for the H iron frame is the hardest part of this job. I would start by modelling the entire steel frame in AutoCAD, using the H iron profiles and inputting the expected loads from the house extension, so the software can calculate stresses and deflections. Then I would design the connections, specifying gusset plates and bolt sizes, also detailing the painted steel finish for corrosion resistance. The single-room HVAC drawing set I did, where the client said the design work was very accurate, fits with the load-bearing analysis needed here. Also, my A$501 logistics hub layout finalisation, which was on time and on budget, shows I handle structural drawing projects reliably. I would build the primary frame members first, then the secondary beams and bracing, so the connections can be designed to tie into a complete structure. How are the loads from the existing house extension transferring onto this new steel frame? I need the architectural plans showing the footprint and height of the extension.
