I am looking for a custom robotic application to be developed using Allen Bradley hardware (Control Logix and 5500 servo drives, Panelview HMIs, I/O Link devices), FactoryTalk View and Logix 5000 software. The robot is a 3-axis gantry type robot used for positioning a custom end effector. The end effector is the entire Z axis and requires active feedback and speed/position control based upon that feedback. In addition to the 3-axis robot, 4 ethernet communicating VFDs, 32 discrete inputs, 16 discrete outputs, and 5 I/O Link modules are required to be controlled from the same Control Logix processor. Routines to handle material into and out of the work cell need to be developed for this hardware. Also, a joystick is to interface to the discrete input and able to operate the robot axis's when plugged in. There will also be a software joystick using a mouse through the HMIs. The application includes 3 HMI applications, two using FactoryTalk View ME stations and the third using factoryTalk View SE. The SE application includes individual manual axis controls for troubleshooting. Each axis shall have auto and manual features with setpoints for speed and position along with drive enables/disables, resets, position feedback, speed feedback, current feedback, and torque feedback. Additional controls to test and troubleshoot all the VFDs, I/O, and I/O Link devices are to be included in the application. One of the View ME applications must depict an animation of the X and Z axis of the gantry along with rudimentary activation controls on the main screen. Additional security protected screens include the same screens as to SE application and additional discrete I/O status screens for troubleshooting. The second ME application shows the operational status of the robot, infeed and outfeed status, system setup (6 settings) , and overriding control including a mouse driven joystick. Additionally, a video camera feed must be incorporated that shows the operation of the end effector. The PLC must pass data to a third-party Unix based system where handshaking, status, control, and position data is to be passed and operated upon. This effort does not include the Unix system programming, but the programmer must work with the Unix programmer to establish and test protocols. The work is to include 12 weeks of on-site testing and modification time.
