I have an Excel workbook that holds a few hundred tasks, each row already filled out with multiple headers (i.e. tasks, subtasks, rich-text description, priority, start and due date, etc.). For this, I need a Power Automate cloud flow template that will read an excel spreadsheet and distribute contents to Microsoft Planner buckets. Here is what matters: • Every task’s header and their content must transfer in full, with formatting preserved as much as Planner allows. • I want the flow to run on demand (manually triggered), but the logic should be easy to switch to a schedule later. • Error handling is important: if a row is incomplete or fails, log the issue and continue with the next task rather than stopping the run. Deliverable: a fully built, tested flow (.zip export or direct build in my tenant) plus a short walkthrough or screen share that shows me how to adjust column mappings if the sheet structure changes.

Hi there, I understand you need a Power Automate cloud flow that reads your existing Excel workbook and creates Microsoft Planner tasks while preserving task details, organizing them into the correct buckets, and handling errors without interrupting the overall process. I can build a reliable, easy-to-maintain automation that is ready for immediate use and simple to modify as your workbook evolves. My approach would be to create a manually triggered Power Automate flow that reads each Excel row, maps task information to the appropriate Planner bucket, transfers supported fields and formatting, logs any incomplete or failed records, and continues processing the remaining tasks. The flow will be designed so it can easily be converted into a scheduled automation in the future with minimal changes. The deliverables will include a fully tested Power Automate cloud flow (.zip export or built directly in your Microsoft 365 tenant), configurable column mappings, comprehensive error logging, and a short walkthrough demonstrating how to update mappings or adapt the workflow if your Excel structure changes. Could you please confirm whether your Excel workbook is stored in OneDrive or SharePoint, and whether the Planner buckets are already created or should the flow create them automatically if they do not exist? I'm ready to get started immediately. Warm Regards, Aneesa.

Hi, I can build a Power Automate cloud flow that imports your Excel tasks into Microsoft Planner, preserving task details and bucket assignments as closely as Planner supports. The flow will be manually triggered, include robust error handling to log failed rows without stopping the run, and be structured so you can easily switch it to a scheduled trigger later. I'll deliver a fully tested flow with clear, editable column mappings and a short walkthrough showing how to update them if your Excel layout changes. Let's discuss your workbook structure and Planner setup so I can tailor the flow to your requirements. Best Regards, Muhammad Saad K

Greetings, I appreciate the detailed outline of your project! You’re looking to create a Power Automate flow that can read an Excel workbook containing various tasks and transfer them to Microsoft Planner buckets while preserving formatting. I’d approach this by first setting up the flow to map each header and its content accurately, ensuring error handling is in place so that any incomplete rows are logged without disrupting the entire process. With 5+ years of experience in automation and data integration, I’m confident I can deliver a functional flow that meets your needs. I will also provide a brief walkthrough to help you adjust column mappings as needed. One question I have is whether you have specific requirements for how tasks should be categorized into Planner buckets based on the data in the Excel sheet? Hello, "Power Automate cloud flow template" – you need a flow that reads every row of your Excel workbook and creates Planner tasks with all headers intact. I’ll wire the Excel Online (Business) connector to pull rows, then use a Scope with Configure Run After to log any incomplete rows while letting the rest continue. Rich‑text descriptions will be passed through as HTML so Planner keeps formatting as closely as possible, and the manual trigger will be a simple button that can later be swapped for a scheduled recurrence. Do you have any custom fields in Planner that need mapping beyond the standard buckets, or should I stick to the default task properties? Looking forward to working with you. Artur
