What fails in real support use is retrieval quality, and almost always for two reasons. Chunking. Runbooks and knowledge articles are step lists. Split them by character count and a procedure gets cut in half, so the agent returns steps 4 to 9 with no context. They need splitting on headings and procedure boundaries, with the article title carried into every chunk. Metadata filters. You listed application, environment, severity and support group. Those only help if they are written at ingestion and actually applied at query time, and the usual failure is filters that exist in the index but are never passed, so severity-1 questions match retired documentation. For the sessions I would build one end-to-end path with your own documents rather than a sample set, then hand you the pipeline and the notes so you can extend it: SharePoint ingest, chunking, Azure OpenAI embeddings, index with filters, and the Copilot Studio agent on top.
