Realistic Retexture for Cartoon Avatar

I’d like you to take my existing rigged GLB avatar—complete with shape keys—and push it toward a believable likeness of me while keeping the underlying mesh and rig untouched as much as possible. All new skin detail and facial features must come directly from my reference photos, so please rely on projection-based texturing and hand-painted passes rather than swapping in stock materials. My priority order is clear: face first, then hands, neck, and finally the clothes so the whole model reads as one cohesive, realistic character. Good UV hygiene is essential; if the current layout needs tweaks, do those fixes before painting so we avoid stretching. Workflow constraints • Blender is the only 3D application I can support for this job. • Keep the avatar fully real-time ready; no high-poly re-sculpt unless a tiny corrective edit is unavoidable. • Preserve all existing shape keys, skeleton, and weighting so the file slots straight back into my current pipeline. Learning component I want to understand every step. Record your screen while you work or schedule a live Zoom/Discord session where you walk me through the stages—projection setup, texture baking, shader tweaks, and export settings. Narrate what you’re doing and why so I can repeat the process later.
