SAP Finance projects fail for a predictable reason. The configuration works in the sandbox, then breaks in production because nobody mapped the exceptions, the bank reconciliation rules, or how reports tie to external requirements. Fixing that before go-live is what separates a system that runs smoothly from one that creates more manual work than it replaced. Budgeting templates need proper drivers built in, so refreshing them each quarter is data entry, not a rebuild. AP and AR automation lives on exception handling. Every edge case has to be defined upfront, which is where your process maps become useful, since the exceptions usually hide in the steps nobody documents. Reporting then has to be built around audit requirements from the start, not adjusted after the fact. To plan the milestones, which of the three areas is causing the most friction right now, budgeting, AP/AR, or reporting?
