Software Application - Market Scan and Research - Biospecimen tracking

The research I require is a market scan of software applications in the biospecimen tracking space suitable for tracking animal sample vials.

The report will need to provide at least the contact details and website links for the top 10 software offerings in the space. The selected software offerings will need to be available commercially for sale and have a number of existing installations already in place.

A brief summary (1-2 paragraphs) of the software capabilities will be required

The details to be captured about each software offering must include :

The name and current version of the software application

Is it capable of capturing and recording details about each individual specimen vial or container ?

Is it able to have an assigned storage location to 5 or more levels. ie. room / fridge / shelf / container / position ?

Can it operate in an SaaS (Software As A Service) hosting mode ? .

What are the licencing options - per seat or enterprise wide ?

Who are the key clients using the software ?

For what animal species is the software being used ?

This information should be presented in a table format.

It is thought that the researcher will need to make some preliminary contact via email with the software provider in order to ask any questions that might not be available on the material available on the website.

Please outline your experience in undertaking software application scans in your reply to this request.
