We are a U.S.-based mobile software developer and are looking to add Adobe Reader SDK functionality to an existing BREW, J2ME and Blackberry application. As the SDK currently supports only C/C++ and WinMo, we are looking to port functionality to the required platforms.
Most critical is the DRM feature which needs to decrypt content on the handset. We have an existing EPUB viewer for each platform and are expecting to build (internally or contract) or license the PDF component.
We have an in-house development team which can provide support as required but are looking for an individual or group with significant Adobe Reader SDK experience to provide guidance and take primary responsibility for delivery.

The Adobe Reader Mobile SDK (hereafter referred to as the SDK) is a source code implementation of Adobe's eBook document engine that is made available to selected partners to enable to them build eBook devices. The engine provides
1. Interpretation and rendering of PDF
2. Interpretation and rendering of EPUB
3. Support for Adobe Content Server 4 DRM
4. Support for integration with Adobe Digital Editions
The SDK is provided as source code - there are no binary libraries. The SDK is provided on an as-is basis. Adobe validates the SDK against two reference platforms (details below). Porting to the your platform is your responsibility - although Adobe is happy to provide support.

Here is a brief explanation of how the system works on the client.
On launching the client application, user is authenticated against our DB.
If a user is subscribed, server will send a list of books of type PDF or EPUB will be displayed long with the content URL.
The contents will be hosted in publishers server and the URL will be that of publisher server. As the contents are DRM protected, in order to view this content, the device has to be activated
To manage device activation and fulfill the content to the device check if the device is activated. If the device is not activated, it needs to be activated to be able to open DRM-protected documents.
Device activation is typically a one-time operation. For network-capable devices it can be performed by supplying appropriate user's AdobeID, and user's password to Adobe activation server. If no errors were reported with calls to Adobe activation server activation is successfull.
Once the device is activated, the content that was licensed to that user should work as long as this device is trusted and present in the environment.
