Bluetooth Application Specification
System – Multiple Symbian phones (one or more at a time) will establish connection with the Bluetooth server to obtain a specific file from the server.
On the Phone Side: The phones will come to know of the file path on the remote server from another API developed by us, the developer needs to take the file name as a parameter. The Phones will open a connection with server using RFCOMM, and save the file at a predefined location (another parameter for the developer). The file to be transferred can be of any size and can be videos, Photos or Music. Once received the file needs to be placed at a particular location of the Phone and the phone needs to disconnect from the server.
On the Server Side – The application needs to be put on the service discovery database. It will perform a handshake with phone (Client) application and receive the path of the file to be sent using Bluetooth to the phones. This file is to be sent to phone using RFCOMM.
