We have an existing C++ library dealing with 3D geometry, which needs to be ported to modern Visual Studio and Linux environments. Currently it only builds into library files under Visual Studio 6. This project includes a VRML WRL standard C++ code interpreter. The resulting source code should build without errors or warnings on Windows XP, Vista, Visual Studio 2005 and Visual Studio 2008, and linux gcc. The library comes with documentation and a test suite. No interactive windows portions need to be ported, only the file processing library. CMAKE 2.7 ([url removed, login to view]) is the required build environment, which auto-generates .sln solution files and linux Makefiles. Pre-compiled libraries and test programs (under VC6) will be supplied for reference, with .dsw / .dsp. Note that just automatically upgrading the .dsw using VS2005 does not work, we tried that! This is a porting job, not just turning the handle. The library is composed of 676 files in 52 folders, including all source, include and resource files.
1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.
2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows? (depending on the nature? of the deliverables):
a)? For web sites or? other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment.
b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software? installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request.
3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement).
Prerequisites: Visual Studio 2005/8 C++ Compiler, Windows XP, VRML, Linux gcc, cmake Skills: Strong C++ programming experience, 3D Geometry, VRML Good systematic development skills, 3D mathematics and geometric transormation skills helpful, familiarity with 3D graphics APIs.
