QT wrapping conversion of simple working MFC program(repost)

Title: QT GUI for File Converter program Synopsis: This project is to build a new interactive GUI application to convert files to between formats, using a standard, simple QT cross-platform interface design. The Converter interface is a Windows specific MFC GUI, that takes input 3D file and produces an output file. It takes optional switches and parameters. These parameters specify simple controls, using about a 20 parameter conversion switches. This interface is fully documented in the manual. Details: The project should follow best-practice QT4 C++ methods to produce a simple, well structured application with scope for further extension. The build environment should be CMAKE, for automatic builds within the existing build system. The computational part should use the [url removed, login to view], .so, without change. Rather than a single window, the GUI should include the following elements: 1. A single main window. 2. A start-up splash screen, and corner icon 3. Menu bar, containing File, License, Exit and Help About basic entries. 4. The main window should be filled with a tab control area with two tabs. 5. Tab 1 should contain all the controls for input file and conversion, dealing with 3D geometry, zoom factor, log file, etc. 6. Tab 2 should contain all the export options relating to output, such as output filename, margins, update modes. 7. Tab 2 should also contain a final button "CONVERT". This should launch the actual conversion process (call the dll). 8. During conversion, please show a progress bar. 9. The application should stay alive after a conversion, allowing the user to select a new input file and perform an additional conversion. 10. Tab 3, "Advanced", will have extra security settings. GUI will be funtionally equivalent to current MFC GUI. Source code of MFC implementation may be used as reference. Source will be supplied once project starts.

## Deliverables

1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.

2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows? (depending on the nature? of the deliverables):

a)? For web sites or? other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment.

b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software? installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request.

3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement).

## Platform

Platform: CMAKE build environment ([url removed, login to view]), Linux RHEL3, RHEL5, GCC 3.2.3, 3.4, 4.1, VS2005 & VS2008, XP and Vista. This list is the ideal. Just one representative windows and one representative linux environments will be OK. The coder should be aware that the buyer may try it on these other platforms. This application will not have any 3D graphics or image windows. It should use generic QT controls, no 3rd party add-ons. The application is expected to run on both Windows and Linux, so no platform specific tricks please.
