This is an unusual requirement! I have a small business in industrial control and am developing a product which is about 2/3 done, and has some modules for which I need outside expertise. I have done a lot of control system and serial comms stuff in C but none for ethernet (LWIP). So I am looking for someone with specific expertise in this, with this exact tool (STM Cube, currently using v1.7.0). There are some free sources for NTP, and Cube comes with a SNTP client partial source too (actually SNTP client is easy). It is a relatively self contained project. Config (e.g. the time server IP) is in a text file (there is a filesystem). It has a USB port via which you can access the filesystem, and via which you can send debugs via VCP. The product is a little PCB with ethernet (RJ45) on it. I would be able to send somebody a board so they can actually test it. I emphasise I need somebody who works in Cube and not some other kit, so the stuff he writes can be directly plugged into the rest of the product. Obviously one would need to communicate more re the details, so this is just finding out if there is anybody out there. I am based near Brighton, UK. PLEASE, NO RECRUITERS. Also nearly everybody responsing has clearly not read the details. I am looking for somebody who has actual experience with the exact tools etc involved, and implementing NTP. This is not a website and is not a JS, C++ Python Java whatever project.

I have quite a lot experience of STM32 ARM processors specifically Cortex M0/M3/M4. I have written and used low level, middleware as well as higher level code. I have J-link debuggers, STM32F development boards (STM32F107, STM32F429, STM32F405 and STM32F407). I have quite a lot experience with IAR, ARM GCC and Keil compilers. Almost all of the STM32 based projects I did were configured in STM32 CubeMx where I used the built in libraries and third part code like LWIP and FreeRTOS and generate Eclipse IDE based project. I haven't implemented SNTP yet but have implemented Ethernet/WiFi applications based on TCP, UDP, DHCP, DNS, MQTT etc. so it would not be difficult for me to implement SNTP client/server. Hi, I'm en experienced embedded engineer of over 20 years. My preferred development environment is STM CubeMX and CubeIDE. I have lots of experience of STM32 microcontrollers, among others. I have experience of TCP/IP in the Windows world, but none direct with STM32. I have 2 ST Nucleos already that have Ethernet ports and could knock up the example TCP/IP code to do network comms between them or the internet, if necessary. I tend to write code that is modularised - so, it would be able to integrate with your code. If there were specific Cube setup routines that needed to be performed, then I could either give you the details to add into your CubeMX project, or just supply the setup files separately so you could call them at the appropriate time. What you have working - LWIP stack and applcations. What you need one is SNTP client application to work once your LWIP is up/network camped. - Developer need to write on SNTP task for sending request on created socket ( use lwip ) , server address and as well have write on receive call to handle the response from the server. One Question, what global NTP server you want to sync for time? Well, to make this from scratch, it will take 15 days ( dev work) + 7 days buffer to make it work within your network primises. Let me know this makes sense.
