inter process communication Visual Basic and Eclipse

I need a very simple interprocess communication setup and exchange routines, as follow: I have a program in Visual Basic 2010, a panel used like user interface, just 20 button and 2 text boxes nothing else; on the same PC, but using Eclipse / MinGW, I am developing a program using C language (not C++, just C). Now, my point is: from the C program I want to send a message in order to display it in the text boxes of the VB program; at the same time, when I push a button in the VB I need the C program receive the button. In other word, I use the C program like the engine, the VB like user interface; in some way, the C program must be able to display text using the text boxes present in the VB program, and must be able to query the VB program, accepting the data coming from the VB input button. What I need from you is the VB2010 Program, some subroutines to be used in the C side and the instruction to setup of the system (do I need libraries? create socket? use files in memory to exchange data?) I know that there are many options to do this, I do not have preverences, just the simplest one
