I have an embedded device running on an RTOS and its web-based dashboard needs a round of improvements. The current build is written in a mix of C/C++ for the device side and JavaScript for the browser UI, and I’d like help across three specific areas: the visual look and feel, the server-side logic that delivers data, and the actual charts/graphs displayed to the user. Here’s what I need from you: • A refreshed, responsive interface that feels modern yet remains lightweight for our constrained hardware. • Updates to the backend tasks written in C/C++ so data is passed efficiently and safely to the front end. • Clear, real-time data visualizations in JavaScript that render smoothly without taxing the RTOS scheduler. Acceptance will be based on the dashboard loading within our current memory footprint, the new UI elements compiling cleanly in our build system, and live data plots updating at the required 1 Hz rate without frame drops. If you have solid experience combining C/C++ firmware work with JavaScript front ends on RTOS devices, let’s talk about the next steps and milestones.

Hi! There, I reviewed your RTOS-embedded dashboard project and completely understand your constraints. When dealing with restricted hardware, traditional web frameworks are out of the question; optimization must happen at both the firmware layer and the browser rendering pipeline. I am a full-stack developer with vast experience in web development and currently just starting to build my identity as a developer in freelancer.com so I want to do this project completely for free to build a strong relationship in the platform itself. You can set the minimum possible milestone on the platform. Memory-Safe UI: I will build a modern, responsive interface using Vanilla JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3. Avoiding heavy frameworks ensures the dashboard easily loads within your current memory footprint. C/C++ Backend Optimization: I will audit your C/C++ tasks to streamline data packaging (using compact JSON or binary streams), minimizing serialization overhead so data passes safely without blocking critical RTOS tasks. Smooth 1 Hz Charting: To guarantee live updates at 1 Hz with zero frame drops, I will implement charts using an ultra-lightweight HTML5 <canvas> approach or a zero-dependency script like uPlot. This prevents rendering from taxing your RTOS scheduler. I m ready to start the moment you are ready to proceed cost-free. Hope you have a great day!
