Example program showing how to open, read, and modify BMP files:

An example image is available at:
[login to view URL]~zsz/ecoar/images/find_markers/[login to view URL]
Main task is to find the marker near the number 11.
The image is given as input and the ratio of W/H (width/height) of the marker is also considered. (the ratio is given in the pdf file in page 60 for respective markers near the numbers)
Output should be the coordinate of the point P ,like (x,y) where the markers lines intersect as given in the image below.
Please check the pdf file for further details.
For test cases there can be any other bmp image given as input and the marker can be anywhere in the image, but the w/h ratio is constant, and the shape is same as the one near number 11.
Further test cases, the marker can be also different like the one below. The shape can be exactly same as our marker, but It can also have extra black pixels anywhere around the marker, but this should not be considered as our marker.
This should be the standard shape of our accepted marker. Without any extra black pixels around.
These are just example images I drew in paint to illustrate the test cases. They are not the exact real size or (w/h) ratio of the marker.
I have made C code for background substraction as you can see in my portfolio, where I have used BMP files. I can help you with this. Provide me more details. Thanks.
