I've read your proposal that's not impossible but i can give you some suggestions, first of all image processing can be really challenging in bathroom because of conditions, steam and water flow can decive program and malfunctioning , in subject of privacy maybe most clients don't accept cctv in bathroom and price of device can be high in compare of other sensors that can done the job, about installing on nvr maybe nvr processor can't handle processing job and my suggestion is use arm based boards like raspberrypi we can talk about this more in details, and i think challenges in this job need more time than a week I'm waiting for your reply, feel free to contact me best regards
