So, in this activity, you are requested to write a program that can merge the two employee files and provide a third file that has all employees in sorted order by their social security number, name and last name. Both files have already been formatted by the company, so they have the same length and same field sizes

The COBOL program will 1. Read the 2 files, File A and File B 2. Compare the key from File A with File B 3. If the keys match, write the fields from File A and File B into the output file. 4. If the key from File A is leading/greater than the key from File B, read the next record from File B, then compare again. 5. If the key from File A is trailing/less than the key from File B, read the next record from File B. 6. Continue reading until either file is empty. It can be done via COBOL program or COBOL and JCL, if JCL is applicable.
