I am unsure what the platform needs to be. In fact it could be an Outlook add-in. It could also be web-based.
I want a program that will do the following (and this is a metaphor)
The user types a letter (come to think of it, the program is like a drinking game) based on what someone says on a TV show.
So if they are watching Friends (for example), every time a character mentions another character's name, they type a letter. For example if someone says:
Phoebe, user types "A"
Monica, user types "B"
Rachel, user types "C"
Ross, user types "D"
Joey , user types "E"
Chandler, user types "F"
At the end of the episode, the program gives a report (pie chart) that tells them how many times each name was mentioned.
There is another report that will be produced based on the same data.
The final produce must include all the appropriate information in case another programmer needs to finish the job (do the 2.0 version).
The program would optimally have a database to track different users who report on the same episode.
