We’re a growing marketing agency looking for a highly perceptive and people-oriented individual to work closely with the founder to strengthen team motivation, improve communication, and ensure both staff and clients feel heard, supported, and aligned. This role is not about executing technical work or building systems—it’s about understanding people, communicating clearly, and helping everyone stay focused, motivated, and aligned with what matters most. You’ll act as a bridge between the founder, the team, and (over time) clients—helping reinforce priorities, uncover opportunities, and ensure the value of our work is clearly understood. This is a part-time role to start, with strong potential to grow into a leadership role focused on team and client success. > What We’re Looking For - A natural communicator who understands people, reads situations well, and knows how to motivate others. - Someone who can confidently speak with the founder and help clarify priorities and direction. - A strong listener who makes team members feel heard, supported, and aligned. - A persuasive thinker who can “sell the why”—helping others understand the importance and impact of their work. - A proactive individual who notices gaps, misalignment, or missed opportunities and brings them forward. >Responsibilities > > Team Communication & Motivation - Regularly communicate with team members to understand challenges, blockers, and morale. - Help reinforce priorities and ensure the team understands why their work matters. - Act as a supportive and motivating presence that improves team alignment and engagement. > > Founder Support & Focus - Work closely with the founder to clarify priorities and daily focus. - Help “sell” the importance of specific tasks and keep the founder aligned with high-impact work. - Provide perspective on where attention is needed based on team and client signals. > > Client Awareness & Value Communication - Help identify client needs, concerns, and opportunities based on conversations and feedback. - Support shaping how we communicate value to clients so they feel heard and taken care of. - Spot upsell or improvement opportunities by recognizing gaps—not by executing solutions. > > Communication & Alignment - Act as a bridge to ensure clear communication between the founder and team. - Help surface important information that might otherwise be missed. - Over time, potentially assist with drafting or sending communications on behalf of the founder (based on trust). > What This Role Is NOT - Not responsible for executing technical or delivery work. - Not responsible for solving client problems directly. - Not a systems-building or operations-heavy role. > Requirements - Strong verbal and written communication skills. - High emotional intelligence and ability to read people and situations. - Confidence speaking with both leadership and team members. - Ability to influence, motivate, and align others through conversation. - Organized thinker who can connect priorities to outcomes. > Nice to Have - Experience in client-facing, sales, or account management roles. - Background in marketing agencies or service-based businesses. - Experience in team leadership, coaching, or people management. > Job Details - Part-time: ~10–20 hours/week to start. - Schedule: Hours TBD within 9-5 Vancouver time zone, M-F. - Rate: Open to discussion based on skills and experience (initial trial period budgeted at base $2-3/hour CAD plus performance-based bonuses tied to team alignment, retention, and growth opportunities identified). - Growth Path: Opportunity to grow into a leadership role focused on client success, team leadership, and growth strategy. > To Apply - Send a short introduction sharing: - Your experience working with teams, clients, or communication-heavy roles. - How you help people feel motivated, understood, and aligned. - An example of how you influenced someone’s priorities or mindset.
