100 Highways Transport Descriptions

I’m overhauling every position within our Highways and Transport department and need 100 individual job descriptions written from scratch. Each document must go beyond a generic outline and drill down into core responsibilities, decision-making scope, required competencies, reporting lines, KPIs, health-and-safety obligations, and any statutory or professional certification needs. You will have access to our current organisation charts, salary grades and a sample template. I’m expecting you to conduct any additional desk research—industry frameworks such as O*NET or national occupational standards—and, where gaps appear, suggest clarifying questions so we end up with crystal-clear, legally compliant descriptions that support recruitment, performance management and workforce planning. Deliverables • 100 separate job descriptions (Word or Google Docs, one file per role) • A summary spreadsheet mapping each role to grade, FTE, and key competencies • Two rounds of consolidated edits once stakeholders review Acceptance criteria • Language is plain English, free of jargon, and written in the third person • Each description is 1.5–2 pages, formatted to the supplied template • No duty or requirement conflicts with relevant UK highways legislation or our internal policies Timeline is flexible within a four-week window, but I’d like to see the first ten drafts inside the first seven days so we can confirm the style. If this initial phase runs smoothly, similar work for other departments may follow.
