## The role
We are seeking to hire a freelance writer to assist with our ongoing content marketing operations.
We have a company blog about teaching consumers how to go green and save money.
We need help producing 1 new article each week on a variety of topics like how to access green energy, how to conserve energy, and technology to help save money and reduce carbon emissions.
The ideal candidate is a natural storyteller with high standards for their work and a keen interest in the tech industry + climate change.
Role entails:
- Producing 1 new article each week (1200–1500 words)
- Conduct (compensated) research on each topic covered
- Incorporating feedback from our editor
- Adhere to a style guide

## The project
We are hiring 1–3 candidates to complete a test project at $80. The project will entail producing a sample 1200–1500 word article on a prompt related to saving money while going green.
## What we expect from applicants
- Demonstrated work in content, tech, climate change or related fields
- Able to consistently produce one article per week
- Ability to work in Google Docs
- Strong opinions about how to write for the web (and why it's NOT like writing for print!)
## The company
We are a start-up based in Australia launching our content strategy.
We have worked extensively as a services provider on UpWork in the past, and seek to be a "dream client" for our freelance team. Our team culture is friendly, fun, and diverse.
We have written as freelancers before and know what it's like on your end, this will be a great ongoing gig for the right people.
## How to apply
Apply with an $80 bid for the test project (bids at other rates will be disregarded). We will bring on several candidates for the test project. All candidates offered test projects receive 5-star feedback, regardless of the decision to move forward long-term
