We need an extra creative writer with an excellent sense of humour to write the dialogue for a number of 30-second web cartoons. The idea of the funny cartoons is to teach English, so each cartoon will incorporate business or everyday situations. You will use natural English (with contractions like "don't" instead of "do not") rather than formal English
A typical dialogue will contain about 400-500 words, but the main thing is that the whole cartoon will last 30 seconds (just try to estimate by reading out the conversation and imagining time taken for actions).
Your writing should set the scene and describe all actions. Half the time should involve conversations.
You will submit 3 dialogues at a time, with payment through GAF.
All rights will be transferred to us.
PLEASE QUOTE ON 3 DIALOGUES.
A sample dialogue is provided below to help you know what the writing involves (there is no need to do anything to this sample or to provide your own sample).
THE WOMAN AND HER HAT
Setting: Two middle aged women are shopping in a shopping mall.
Woman 1: Oooh, a hat shop. Let’s go in here. I’ve never worn a hat before, but I’d like to find one that suits my personality.
Woman 2: Great idea.
[They walk in, and woman 1 walks straight to a hat in the shape of a flowerpot with lots of flowers]
Woman 1: Look at this! I’ve found my hat already. It’s so me! Artistic and fun – what do you think?
Woman 2 (doubtful, but polite): Errr, that’s very… interesting.
Woman 1: Are you sure you like it?
Woman 2: It’s very different, that's for sure.
Woman 1: You’ve talked me into it. I’ll get it, as long as it’s no more than 20 dollars.
[They walk to the counter]
Woman 1: How much is this hat, please?
Sales assistant: That’s on sale for 25 dollars.
Woman 1: Ohhhh, I have a strict budget in mind. Can you reduce it to 20 dollars?
Sales assistant: I’ll just have to ask the manager.
[Sales assistant goes away to manager in back room]
Sales assistant: There’s a customer at the front who wants us to reduce the price of the Flowerpot Hat from 25 to 20 dollars. Is that okay?
Manager: Sure, 20 dollars is fine. Between you and me, I’d sell that ugly old hat for 2 dollars just to get rid of it.
[Sales assistant returns]
Sales assistant: The manager said 20 dollars would be fine. How would you like to pay for that?
Woman 1: Cash, please…
[Fade out]
Setting: The 2 women hug and say goodbye outside a train station. Woman 1 walks to the ticket booth.
Woman 1: A ticket for the city, please.
Attendant: One way or return?
Woman 1: One way, thanks.
Attendant: That’s 5 dollars 90.
[Woman hands over $10]
Attendant: $5.90, 6 dollars, 8 dollars and 10. Thank you – have a nice day.
Woman 1 (taking ticket and change): Thanks, you too, bye now.
Setting: Woman 1 walks into a train compartment. She sits next to a tall man. Woman 1 starts to fall asleep. She leans towards the tall man. The flowers of woman 1’s hat poke into the man’s face. He gets annoyed and gently pushes the woman so that she leans the other way towards an empty seat. Woman 1 leans further and further until her hat falls off.
Woman 1 wakes up when another woman (Woman 3) walks into the compartment. The woman sits opposite Woman 1. Woman 3 is wearing the same Flowerpot Hat.
Woman 1 laughs loudly, pointing at Woman 3’s hat. Woman 3 looks shocked and angry.
Woman 1 points at her own head, thinking that she is still wearing her Flowerpot hat. Woman 3 looks at Woman 1 as if she’s crazy. Woman 1 keeps pointing at her head and Woman 3’s hat, still laughing. Woman 3 gets up and leaves.
Later, Woman 1 arrives at her station. As she gets up to leave, she notices her hat on the seat beside her.
Woman 1: Huh?... [she thinks for a while]… Ohhhh.
[Fade out]

Technical analysis in the financial market refers to a type of a security study done to forecast the future direction that the prices will undergo. Technical analysis is mostly based on the trend of the past data records which normally consists of the volume and the price over a period of time. However technical analysis takes into consideration only the actual price and actual behavior of the volume in the market. Technical analysts are professionals who have just begun their careers and learning the tricks of the trade or senior professionals who have years of experience behind them.
Today it has become possible to use different types of computer software and financial models that speed up the process and give accurate results with the help of formulae that are already fed in the software or model. The models can be based on several price and volume transformations such as regressions, moving averages, relative strength index, cycles and inter as well as intra market correlations. Today people are making widespread use of charts and graphs that can give them a quick overview of the data over a certain period of time. Technical analysis does not take into consideration the actual nature of the market or commodity. As mentioned before, it is solely based on charts based on the past information of price and volume. There is in fact another type of analysis called fundamental analysis that takes into account the actual price and volume.
Today technical analysis is widely used by financial experts, traders and other financial professionals. The major reason for doing a technical analysis is to find out how the market has behaved over a period of time in the past and what might be the trend in the future. It is also used by active day traders and pit traders. Technical analysis was not very popular in the 1960s and the 1970s. However it was proved by finance professionals Irwin and ark that technical analysis does produce positive results. There are many academicians who still call it inconclusive.
Even the users of technical analysis feel that it cannot predict the future but it can still help to identify the correct trading opportunities. Technical analysis is used more often than fundamental analysis in the foreign exchange markets all over the world. Experts feel that when all trading signals are combined in a combined signal approach, it can gradually lead to increased profitability of the business and reduce its dependence on any type of single rule.
People who use technical analysis are often called market technicians or simply technicians. Many people like to be called a technical market analyst. People used to refer to a term called chartist in old times. However it has now become rare to use this term as it has become too generic.
So how do technical analysts actually do the analysis? They actually identify the various trends and price patterns in the financial markets in the form of different types of charts. Technicians search for certain patterns in the charts called archetypal patterns such as double top and also indicators like moving averages. They also look for certain forms such as lines of channels, resistance and support or any other type of obscure formations such as balance days, pennants and flags. Technical analyst also make use of other mathematical formulae related to the price and volume. From these indicators the analyst determines whether the asset is tending in the direction of the price. Even the relationships between the volume and price can be determined by technical analysts. Technical analysis can also be used in the study of correlations between the changes in pull/call ratios and other sentiment indicators.
Technical try to forecast the gains by forecasting the price movements based on previous data based in successful trades. These trades had produced good returns in the long run. There are in fact several approaches or schools in regards to technical analysis. Some of these thoughts include Dow theory, candlestick charting and Elliott wave theory. Some traders may ignore one of the approaches while some others may take the viewpoint of all the approaches. They may even combine two approaches and calculate the results.
