Google Timeline press release expert required

I need someone who can explain to me how Google's Timeline feature works and how you can influence the results it shows. 1. Go to [url removed, login to view] and type in a keyword phrase. 2. Expand "show options" 3. Click on "timeline" (underneath wonder wheel) Google shows a number of news stories over an arbitrary time period along with a graph showing each of the dates for each news story. For example, type in George Bush and you get 10 results ranging from 1970 to 2004. You can expand this to 100 results, which then shows 100 results from 1970 to 2009, but you are unable to see more than 100 results. Why? You can change the dates for the search to other dates such as from 1800 to 1900 and it will only show results from that other time period. What factors influence what time period is shown as the default for 10 searches? eg. for Geroge Bush its 1970 to 2004? eg. for Abraham Lincolon its 1809 to 2003? eg. for Unix Shell Scripting its 1969 to 2005? Look at each of the web links referenced in the search results. For example, [url removed, login to view] [url removed, login to view] [url removed, login to view] [url removed, login to view] [url removed, login to view] [url removed, login to view] [url removed, login to view] [url removed, login to view] [url removed, login to view] [url removed, login to view] [url removed, login to view] [url removed, login to view] [url removed, login to view] [url removed, login to view] [url removed, login to view] [url removed, login to view] [url removed, login to view] [url removed, login to view] How can I influence what shows up in the Google Timeline results? I understand that many of the articles are from Press Releases which appear on [url removed, login to view] and [url removed, login to view] but what about old articles from over 50 years ago? How do you get an article to be published where it shows on the timeline for say 1960? What do I need to include in the article or press release? Where should the dates be specified? Where do I distribute these articles or PR's so that they show up for any given date from the past (rather than simply publishing the press release with today's date which is what happens with most press releases)
