I am starting to publish ESL (English as a Second Language) books and web-based materials. I am looking for a general part-time assistant to do a variety of tasks:
-- follow guidelines and instructions to edit/format books using Word (attention to detail and knowledge of styles etc. in Word is very important). An aesthetic sense is a bonus.
-- follow guidelines to create language learning exercises
-- help with creation of short texts (2-5 paragraphs) or sentences/definitions using keywords
--possibly send emails and maintain records
-- possibly analyse language data using provided Windows software
-- possibly some web-searching related to language
-- possibly other writing tasks related to marketing
–- no selling is involved
Excellent written English and computer skills are necessary. The position would suit someone working from home who has taught English or studied Linguistics. Part-time position, variable, around 5 to 10 hours a week. I’d rather work with someone one-on-one rather than go through an agency.
