**Editor / Writer Wanted For Wedding Planning E-book**
Editor / Writer wanted to arrange and compile a c. 100 page ebook from already written and supplied materials. The subject of this book is to be “Planning a Wedding?? and specifically looks at saving money and time by using the internet’s resources. The book will eventually be sold as a downloadable e-book.
This is to be a good quality publication and the winning bidder really needs to have English as a first language.
All materials are supplied and the job primarily involves ordering and editing the material into the most logical and effective sequence, though some writing tasks will be required (e.g. correcting any errors and writing linking paragraphs etc). However most of the job is editing / laying out the book and deleting duplicate materials which will exist as the book uses a few different sources of material (all supplied).
As well as the editing and arranging of the book, please also write down exactly which parts of the supplied materials have been used and which have not e.g. you used 4 out of 5 articles in the wedding book section (missing out the wedding cakes article) and used 3 out of the 8 chapters in “Have a wonderful wedding?? mini book ??" specifically articles 1, 3 and 7.
There is about 40,000 words worth of materials. I do not expect you to use it all (as there will be some duplication among the sources) but you should use as much as possible.
For example in each of the supplied sections of material there is advice on flowers for weddings. Much of it is to do with saving money on flowers and may be duplicate material so it would not all need to be used. However there may be good different material in different sections e.g. one part on how to save money on your flowers and in another part there may be information on how to arrange different types of flowers for the best display - in this case I would like you to take parts from both areas to make the section on flowers as comprehensive as possible.
Where there is duplicate / very similar material in existence, use what you feel is the best quality material (most useful and best written) first. And if there is material of equal quality, the preference is for the material that relates most to saving money or using the internet first in preference to other more general sections.
This is a quick and easy job for the right person - a professional who has ideally written on this subject before.
The book is to be supplied as a Microsoft Word document roughly as 100 x 300 word pages in 12 point done in Arial font with 1.5 line spacing and double-spaced between paragraphs. This is to leave me room for headers and footers and enough ‘white space’ for easy reading.
This is a ghost writing task and copyright will be assigned to the hirer (me).
I would also look for your input into the layout and final copy etc in terms of if there is anything missing etc.
Tone: some balancing of the tone and style may be needed though I believe it is already fairly consistent. The over riding style should be fun, helpful and easy to read.
I would like to see an example of your work, a few pages will do, preferably a before and after example of your rewriting or editing if possible.
I will be very easy to work with and fair on this project. Please note however that I retain the right to reject any or all work if it is of poor quality and this will result in you re-writing it or the bid being cancelled. I will expect re-writes until I am happy with it. This will be at my sole discretion. If you do good work upfront, though, you should not be concerned about this.
When you bid, please include when you could get started on this, as well as an estimate of how long it will take you to finish. I will be looking for the project to be complete by 12th May (c. 10 days max from start of project).
I will provide the source documents as a Word and a few as .txt files. There is a very strong possibility of future work like this if you do well.

Thanks for your bids - there are a number of good qualified bidders and the project is going ahead.
Due to a slight delay at my end (i've got flu) the final decision may not be till Wednesday and I will be in touch with the short list with a few questions.
