HostGator File Cleanup & Optimization

My HostGator account has crept well past its allotted storage and I need it brought back under control. The immediate goal is to locate and safely remove all temporary files, outdated backups, and unused media that are clogging up the server. Right now I am not sure which specific folders or files must stay, so part of the job involves walking me through a quick audit, advising on what is critical, and then carrying out the cleanup across every sub-domain and directory. You may work through cPanel, SSH, or any other standard HostGator-compatible tool you prefer (e.g. File Manager, du/ncdu, or WHM storage analytics). Please be thorough yet cautious—functioning sites and databases must remain intact.
