Construction of OMNeT++ Simulation Environment

Hi, I'm attempting to create two different converged network scenarios within OMNeT++. Each will converge a wireless sensor network protocol with the 4G-LTE UE protocol stack within a gateway. The two WSN protocols are ZigBee Pro and ZigBee IP.

A last-hop WSN node would generate a ZigBee X signal that would be received by a gateway. The gateway would render the ZigBee signal to something that can traverse the 4G-LTE protocol stack and continue through the eNodeB (cell tower base station) to the serving gateway (S-GW) and onto the PDN gateway (P-GW).

My goal is to run 194 transmissions through each simulated environment - 388 total - and measure the network transmission delay (end-to-end) for each. Afterward I'll perform analysis and draw conclusions.

I have zero experience with OMNeT++. I just need some targeted mentorship to introduce me to the relevant components of OMNeT++ so I can build these scenarios and complete my project.

The project will result in 388 time measurements, 194 for each scenario. Time measurements will quantify the network transmission delay from the last-hop WSN node, through the converged network gateway, to the inbound port of the P-GW in the 4G-LTE infrastructure.
