We are Meha Infotech, a digitisation company based in Madurai, India, with an in-house team of 25 indexers and QC specialists. The risk in this job is not the typing. It is the paste. Text copied straight from a .txt file into a styled cell carries its source formatting along with it, which quietly overrides your column widths and wrapping, and in some cases disturbs the conditional formatting already sitting in the template. We paste values only, so your template's own rules stay intact and render exactly as your sample row does. The second thing that catches this kind of work is characters you cannot see. A trailing space or a non-breaking character picked up from a text file shows nothing on screen, but a colour-coded status flag keyed to an exact match will then silently fail to trigger. Every field is trimmed and checked for stray characters before it goes in, which is also why the flags will match rather than nearly match. Before running the full batch we would send you the first few rows completed, so you can confirm the render against your sample while there is still nothing to redo. Our regular work is indexing handwritten parish registers, baptism, marriage and death records from the 1700s onward, at over 99% accuracy through multi-level QC. Typed source text into a fixed template sits well inside that, and batch size is not a constraint for us. How many records are in the batch, and how many columns does each record fill?
