I want to move our basic timesheet process into Microsoft Access so everything lives in one file and updates automatically. The core of the build is a clean, form-based interface where each employee can log the start and end of their day (or simply total hours) and, with one click, submit the entry. Behind the form I need tables, queries, and a bit of VBA that stores the data, validates it (no duplicate dates for the same person, no negative hours, etc.), and time-stamps submissions. A weekly timesheet report must be generated automatically. I should be able to choose a date range, hit “Run,” and immediately see a printable report grouped by employee that totals regular and overtime hours for the week. Export to PDF or Excel is a must. The final file should include: • A compact, well-named table structure • The data-entry form with simple navigation buttons • Saved queries powering the weekly report • One professionally formatted Access report object • Brief inline comments or a short text document so I can add employees or tweak business rules later Everything needs to be created entirely in Microsoft Access (desktop version) using native forms, queries, and, if necessary, VBA modules—no external add-ins. If you already have a starter template that meets these points, feel free to adapt it; otherwise, build from scratch.
