OVERVIEW (The Short Version):
This is a VERY SIMPLE project. I need someone to create an Excel spreadsheet containing prospect information for 500 companies. All of the necessary data is contained in either a) a printed listing; or b) on individual companies' web sites.
DETAILS (The Long Version):
I have a source list of 500 company names - organizations that I want to contact as part of my company's normal sales functions.
100 of these companies are listed in a printed document. This printed listing includes SOME information (i.e., company name, URL, contact person(s), brief description of the company's business, number of employees (sometimes), and 2006 Sales). But I need more (i.e., address, telephone #, etc.). For this additional information, you will need to go to each company's web site and gather the necessary data.
Secondly, the remaining 400 companies are referenced only by their web site URLs. So ALL information for these 400 companies will have to come from their individual web sites.
I need all of this information in a Microsoft Excel (v2003)spreadsheet so that I can import it into my contact management software and begin contacting these companies.
Familiarity with Microsoft Excel 2003 (Duh);
Ability to navigate through 500 company web sites quickly and efficiently, locating the necessary information;
PERFECT (100% ERROR FREE) transcription of the data;
PERFECT English grammar, punctuation, etc. (There will be other projects where this will be more important - so show me now!);
You must be physically located in the United States, and a U.S. Citizen. You will be considered a 1099 contract employee and we must therefore verify your identity, residence, and EIN/SSN for proper IRS reporting purposes. True, this project alone will not necessitate all of this by itself, but there will be MANY other projects that, singly or collecively, could put someone over the required reporting limit.
CONFIDENTIALITY - This is my data. You cannot disclose, give, loan, or sell the resulting data, file or compilation of data to anyone else. There will be a Confidentiality and Non-Disclosure Agreement that must be executed prior to commencement of the project.
ACCURACY - I know I already said "100% error-free" etc. - but I need to stress it again. I am going to be sending mailings, etc. to these prospects - I cannot afford to look like an idiot because of a mis-spelled name or company. There will be a spot-check for errors prior to sending payment.
Payment will be submitted upon receipt of an accurately-prepared data file. A spot check for errors will be done prior to submitting payment - and errors will affect the amount of the payment. I can purchase a list and data file from a list broker for 18 cents per name - and that file is guaranteed to be error-free - so I certainly cannot spend the same amount (or close to it) for a sub-contracted list that is fraught with errors and inaccuracies. I am sure you can easily understand that.
I need this right away.
Once the bidding period has ended, the selected provider will be notified within 48 hours, and will be sent the aforementioned Non-Disclosure Agreement. This needs to be signed and returned promptly.
Within 24 hours of receipt of the properly executed NDA, the project will be awarded, and the necessary information (i.e., printed listing, listing of URLs, etc.) will be sent to the provider.
Provider has one calendar week for completion of the project.
Upon receipt of the finished data file and subject to the completion of an error check, the payment will be sent within 48 hours.
