It's about gathering information from 17 websites and put it in a google spreadsheet. The websites contain tools and resources which need to be categorized with rough categories and more detailed subcategories and in addition the information if the tool is for free or if it costs something needs to be gathered. And the differentiation between online tool and resource has to made (find examples of all that below).
I will share a google spreadsheet with you in which you can fill in the information.
If you go to startupstash (google it) you can find categories (Idea generation, naming, and so on). This are the rough categories. The subcategories would be, e.g. for idea generation, "Store and order ideas", "Analyse ideas", "Develop Ideas", "Share / discus ideas" and "Mind mapping". On Startupstash you can find 10 online tools in the category "Idea generation" five of them are for free and the other five are paid. This information you need to fill in, too. And also that the 10 links are all online tools, not resources.
On the website from Spark Labs (just google spark labs startup tools and resources) the categories would be for example "Market research" or "Contact customers". Subcategories for "contact customers" would be "Find business connections", "Lead generating", …
Make sure that you don't just copy whats it's written on the website itself. Click on every link, check out what the tool or resource is capable of doing and then write down all the functions as subcategories. One tool can have even several functions, count every one. For example this tool (google namemesh) has two functions: Name generator and availability check.
Whats the difference between online tool and resource?
- An online tool is an application or website with which you can solve a problem. It DOES something for you. If it is for example a website that finds something for you, like small investors on Kickstarter or brings you together with bigger investors on AngelList it again DOES something.
- A resource is a source of knowledge. You can find information there, but it won't DO something for you. So for example learning videos, blogs, books, newsportals, articles, and so on. If there is a website which is just a list of all venture capitalist firms, not sorted by region or anything else, it's a resource. If you can filter the VC firms, it's a tool.
For me the quality of the work is very important. So you would need to click on every link to a tool or resource on the website to figure out it's exact function or value.
I will monitor your work and I will be available for any question or concern.
If the work is done in English, I will translate it to German later. If it can be done in German, even better.
I will give you exact instructions in the chat or in Skype.
