I have some CSV files and would like to analyse in R.
But being an R beginner, just getting frustrated, and thinking of just using Excel.
There us a date field eg 2014-10-26T23:23:[url removed, login to view] which i guess i need to split into date and time ...
Plus I would like to get a feel for the equivalent of a pivot table, so I can summarize the results .
1 frequency count of source_ip addresses - sorted by most frequent
2 frequency count of destination_port - sorted by most frequent
3 table combining 1 and 2
4 graph of number occurrences per day from timestamp
5 graph of number occurrences per hour of each day from timestamp
6 pivot table of days / hours and their counts.
7 counts per protocol per day
I would like to do this in "R", not Excel, that is my fall back if I cant solve in "R"
these columns can be discarded
attachments - as coincides with Protocol = Microsoft
