Product Launch Lead Engagement Brief Contract About the project We’re launching a game, not an app — and we need someone who knows the difference. It’s a live, in-person social game for groups — the kind of thing that turns a room of friends into the entertainment for the night. It plays in the browser on any phone, with no app and no login. One person brings it to their group, and the energy does the rest. This isn’t a concept — it’s proven. We just ran it live at a 100+ person community event: every player who joined stayed to the end, the technology held up without a single failure, and firsttime players told us it was easy to pick up and a lot of fun. The product is built. The brand voice, landing page, and early-access waitlist all exist. What we need is the person who turns that foundation into a cultural moment people talk about. Proof, not promise: 100+ players in a single live session · zero dropouts · zero technical failures · a full group arriving in the first 60 seconds. The hard part — does it work, and does the room have fun — is already answered. The growth physics that shape everything: every session brings in a whole group at once — not one signup, but ten to thirty. Getting the game into the hands of the person who brings it to their group is the entire funnel. Today’s players become next month’s hosts. Full product details — including how it actually plays — are shared with shortlisted candidates under NDA. The audience The buyer is always a host — the person who brings the game to their group. Priority contexts, in order: — Social hosts everywhere — house parties, celebrations, game nights. The person who already brings the energy to their group is the beachhead, and they’re underserved by everyone else. — Faith and community networks — fellowship and youth events. We have an anchor community that doubles as a launch platform — and that just hosted our 100+ player proof event. — Venues — bars and event spaces looking to refresh tired weeknight programming. B2B revenue starts here post-launch. — Corporate teams — offsites and icebreakers. The slowest cycle; seeds planted at launch, harvested later. Cultural fluency with the audience is not a nice-to-have. The launch lives or dies in group chats, social content, and rooms where the loudest reaction wins. Confidential · Details shared with shortlisted candidates under NDA The strategy is the audition This is the part that matters most, so read it carefully. We are not handing you a scorecard. As part of the strategy you deliver, you will define the structure of the engagement itself — and how we’ll know it worked. Specifically, you’ll propose: — Engagement phases & timeline — how the weeks should be sequenced, and what happens when. — Deliverables — what you’ll own and produce across the engagement. — KPIs & success metrics — the numbers you’d hold yourself to. — Supporting indicators — the secondary signals that tell us the flywheel is turning. — Launch phase plan — how launch week itself should be run. One number is fixed, and it’s ours: 1,000 users in Week 1 — which for us means roughly 50–70 hosted sessions, not 1,000 individual signups. Everything else, you build underneath that. Show us you know which numbers actually matter for a product that spreads through groups, not ads. This is deliberate. A real launch person will give us metrics grounded in our growth physics — hosts activated, players per session, host-to-host conversion. Someone reaching for impressions and engagement rate is telling us something too. The framework you propose is how we read you. Shape of the engagement (starting point) This is our rough sketch — your strategy should confirm, challenge, or improve it: Phase Focus Immersion Experience the product firsthand. Attend a live session. Meet early hosts. Absorb the audience. Build Define and deliver the full strategy: rollout calendar, platform plan, creative concepts, creator partnerships, and the measurement framework. Launch Hand off (or co-run) launch week. Post-launch review and handover. What you own The layer above the plan — the craft of turning strategy into a moment: — Timing — the full rollout calendar at day-and-hour precision. What posts where, when, and why. The exact sequence of launch week. — Ideas — the launch concepts no framework generates: the stunt, the creator-collab format, the challenge mechanic that makes people talk. Confidential · Details shared with shortlisted candidates under NDA — Instinct — deep immersion in the product itself. You experience it, attend live sessions, and build strategy from that, not from a feature list. — People — recommending and scoping 1–2 community creator partnerships, and helping keep early hosts engaged and committed to launch week. Who we’re looking for Backgrounds that fit: consumer social or entertainment launches, mobile/party games, social strategy for culture brands, or creators who’ve built their own audiences and freelance this skill. Titles vary — growth marketer, launch strategist, social strategist. The title matters less than your answer to one question: “Walk me through a launch you ran where the product spread through groups, not individuals.” If the answer comes with specifics — what was posted, when, why, what happened — we should talk. If it’s a funnel diagram, this isn’t the fit. Strong signals: — Cultural fluency with your audience and an active community network — Hands-on content production ability — A portfolio with at least one launch that became a moment Compensation Fixed monthly fee for the engagement window, scoped to experience. We’re open to a success kicker tied to the Week-1 user target. Equity is not on the table at this stage; a longer-term role may be, if launch goes the way we both want it to. How to apply Reply with the launch story above, plus links to anything you’ve launched or grown. In your pitch, include the three or four metrics you’d hold yourself to and why. Shortlisted candidates sign a short NDA, get the full product details and a private link to try it, and play a round with people they actually know before we speak. Every conversation starts with what you noticed in the room.
