I am carrying out a pre-employment vetting assignment in Incheon, South Korea that focuses solely on professional reference checks. For each shortlisted candidate, I will supply you with contact information for their former supervisors or managers. Your task is to reach out, conduct a structured conversation covering roles, dates, performance, reliability, and reasons for leaving, then document the findings in clear, concise English (or Korean with an English summary if the referee prefers). Strong phone etiquette, the discretion expected in HR investigations, and the ability to probe diplomatically for both strengths and red flags are essential. Local time-zone availability is important so calls are made during business hours in South Korea. Deliverables • A separate reference-check report for each candidate, formatted as a PDF or Word file, including date/time of call, referee’s position, and verbatim comments on key performance areas. • Confirmation of any employment details that could be independently verified (title, tenure, etc.). • Immediate notification if a referee refuses or cannot be reached after three attempts. Turnaround is expected within two business days of receiving each candidate’s details, and I’m happy to discuss any clarifications you need before you begin.
